Case Studies: Engineering & Project Execution
Fast-Track Power Plant in Turkey
100 MW Fast-Track Power Plant Delivered in Under 90 Days
THE CHALLENGE
Grup Impeks, a global energy and infrastructure company specialising in Turkey, the Middle East, and Africa, had an urgent and immediate need for 100 MW of prime power. The gas turbines needed to be inspected, tested, loaded, shipped, and installed in less than 90 days. Previous contractors had failed to deliver.
The Solution
USP&E delivered 100 MW of fast-track power using four Pratt & Whitney FT8 MobilePac gas turbines. To meet the compressed timeline, our team flew from South Africa to Istanbul, then to the USA and the Canary Islands for inspections and design meetings. The turbines were installed in under two weeks from landing at port, ahead of schedule.
The Outcome
The project was delivered on time and on budget, enabling the client to proceed with operations without disruption.
Client Reference
“USP&E went above and beyond for this project. The contractors we hired to complete our project failed, but USP&E was the best decision we could have made as they were on time and on budget.” – Grup Impeks Client
Built for the Frontier
This project demonstrates Grit and Agility in action: when others failed, USP&E mobilised globally and delivered 100 MW in under 90 days. Entrepreneurial speed. Engineering credibility. That is what Powering Precision means
